Reservation of rights

This is a reservation of rights. It is not an offer. It does not amend any agreement I have signed or any terms I have accepted by creating an account.

1. Who this addresses

This notice is directed to every artificial-intelligence provider, model operator, agent platform, scraper, and automated system, and to every law firm, legal services organization, and other person who accesses my information or who claims authority to act for me.

2. Rights I retain

I retain all right, title, and interest I hold in my prompts, instructions, files, recordings, code, trademarks, trade secrets, unpublished works, and information I hold for a client or customer. Submitting a prompt does not assign those rights. Publication of this notice is not a license.

3. License I do not grant

I do not grant a license to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve a model on my content, to retain it for that purpose, to sublicense it, to publicly display or distribute it, to reuse it in another customer's output, or to transfer it in a merger or asset sale. The only permission I grant, absent a specific agreement, is a non-exclusive permission to process a request I actually submitted, for long enough to return the result of that request. Where a product I choose to use requires a broader license, that license is limited to the terms I accepted for that product and to the content I submitted there. This notice is my standing objection to any broader use. Where the product has an opt-out, that opt-out is intentional.

4. No agency

No AI system, no employee or contractor of an AI company, and no law firm or other legal agency is my agent unless I have signed a written grant of authority that names them and the acts they may take. None of them may bind me to a contract, send a communication, move money, delete data, file a document, make an admission, or waive a right. A chat instruction, a default setting, or an "allow always" control is not a power of attorney.

5. No waiver

I do not waive a claim, a jury right, a class remedy, or a privacy right except in a written instrument I sign that names the right. Reading this page is not that instrument. A product that requires its own opt-out, including a mailed arbitration opt-out, is handled by that procedure.

6. Biometrics

I do not consent to the collection or use of biometric identifiers, face embeddings, or voiceprints of me, or of any person whose information I hold, except by express written consent for a named purpose.

7. Other people's information

Information I hold for a client, a customer, or another person is not available for a training set. Receiving it does not authorize the recipient to place it into a consumer AI tool, an agent with standing permission to act, or any system whose terms give the vendor a training or sublicensable license.

8. Outputs

I claim rights in my own expression, selection, and arrangement. I do not claim copyright in material that a model produced entirely on its own and that contains none of my expression. I review anything I choose to publish or send.

9. Limit of this notice

This notice does not cancel terms I have already accepted. It does not reduce my responsibility for actions I authorize. It does not create a fiduciary duty in any vendor. It does not remove the public's right to use a fact, idea, or method that the law does not protect.
